Description of Biometric Software

Face Code is a face recognition software by Recognix to log on to a PC by scanning the face through a camera. It uses any web camera installed on a PC or on any laptop with a built in camera. It allows manual user login by pressing a hot key defined by the user. It can also be configured to log on different users and giving them different access levels to the computer for children or guests. Even the screensaver can be set to lock the pc by face recognition as well. Face Code recognizes existing PC users and logs them onto their own user area, while prevents unauthorized users from logging to your computer without your presence, even if they know your user name and password.

Advantages:

  • User can determined the level of security.
  • Screen Saver Lock.
  • Locked Screen Saver can be unlocked when showing the authorized user’s face.
  • Screen Saver is automatically launched when user leave his position, using Recognix.

Disadvantages:

  • The face scan does not always work, and cannot recognize.
  • Not as fast as fingerprint recognition.
  • Takes time to turn on the camera and to recognize. Especially if someone has a change on their face like a haircut or is wearing a cap.
